novel is not worth reading. i paid for a few chapter and read until ch 39, and i felt more and more of a regret on wasting money. the MC isused to fighting and killing (ultimately wants to kill 3 people), but freaks out when 3 wolves die due to his carlessness even. also he will let people walk all over him and insult him constantly but keeps letting them despite his power and them trying to kill him. example of this is he freaked out when a weak noble killed his pets but didnt kill him back. then when a paladin kept insulting him and trying to kill him, he just let him live. MC is supposed to be experienced middle aged man but acts like 14 year old when he sees women and complete pacisfist coward. its infuriating and ruins this novel.

LIKEThat's too bad... Everything you mentioned above is true as it is written under one assumption: "To not suddenly cause a war with another force" I don't know if this will make you want to continue reading, as Volume 2 is the climax where the dungeon needed to fight on multiple fronts. And, spoiler, the paladin he let go multiple times would die by his own Hands.
Killing the Paladin at that point would have been far worse for him than letting the Paladin live. After all at that point in the story his goal was to establish relationships and trade with the humans. At that point in the story he spend quite some time as the guard of Sophia, so the chruch in question will easily associate him with Sopha if he does something against the paladins. She and her territory would take the brunt of the fallout if he had killed the Paladin at that point. His relationships with humans would quickly reach a dead end since the church would scheme against him and he would have nobody on his side to counter that and he could forget about establishing the trade as well. Overall I'm glad he has some thick skin and is smart enough to know that killing isn't always the right answer.
to not suddenly cause a war with another force is boring and makes the Mc into a dog of man which is just sad and author created all this the world the scenery mcs character and ways and decisions this is just bad choices stacked up on each other and why yall authors think we readers enjoy MCs like this just throttle me

So you’d rather he killed them then die?
