this was a story full of heartbreak but with a warm conclusion. there are many spots that could be resolved with a quick edit but not so much as to make it unreadable. I feel that the characters were portrayed warmly and I got to know and understand them. my biggest gripe was with the world building. there were times that crucial details were presented matter of factly and the effect was rather jarring. ultimately I recommend this story but with the caveat that it can be slightly confusing in the margins.

I adored this story. How both Jamie and Stryker developed was heart warming. I admit I would’ve liked to know about the supernatural world in the background (seemed too much like an afterthought when it was mentioned), but the DD/l story story itself really captivated me. So much growth and happiness.
