I'm really conflicted with this story, I mostly love it as much as 10 000 daos. But I cannot overlook the age of the protagonists. Zhen Yuan's new body might be 15, but in the end, he IS a 30 year old adult romancing a 16yo. That's so icky, and could be worked around with many possibilities depending on the needs of the future plot (ZY being reincarnated instead of transmigrated, SX being transmigrated as well, ZY forgetting his memories for a few years, SX being from another world/continent and actually older, their meeting happening when they're slightly older... It's not like the setting lacks possibilities). I also find the use of wife for doubles distasteful, but that's a minor point. I was quite surprised as 10k daos did pretty much the opposite with Yu Nianzhen defending Jiang Yue's identity as his husband, but whatever. It's not a morally disturbing issue like for the age. I'm so disappointed. The concept is original, their battling against the plot/MC's overkill luck is hilarious, the writing is of great quality, I really like the way the author builds relationships. A shame.

I think you are thinking too much from the perspective of a modern person. First, age. Children begin to cultivate at 6. As a result, their bodies and minds reach adulthood at 13. This is the result of the environment and has nothing to do with the modern construct. Also, even if SX's soul is +30, that age difference is nothing in the cultivation world. Don't forget people live hundreds, thousands, or even millions of years. It's the same issue with the wife thing. SX may look like a man but he isn't. He has a smaller stature and can give birth. He is a different gender from 'man'. Based on the world, when a double marries a man, he becomes a wife. If he marries a woman, he becomes a husband. The identity of double is more fluid than that of man or woman. That said, thanks for your review and thanks for liking my other book. I still hope you will give this book a try.

I agree with the fact that their age difference doesn't matter as a number, that part does not bother me. That's why I suggested them meeting when ZY is an adult as a way to avoid the part I have an issue with, which is one being a child and the other an adult. I disagree very much with the idea that the situation is different because they're cultivators. We're still readers/authors in our current "modern" world, and the way we interact with characters goes beyond that, I believe we cannot isolate them from our perspectives. Also, maturity cannot just come from difficulty and intensity of life experience. While I can easily accept that the Qi strengthens their bodies and allows them to drink alcohol at 13, mind and life experience are really different. In the end why the need to meet so young when they have such long lives in front of them. I have an earnest question though. If cultivation truly makes people into adults at 13, why was the son of the Fengying City Lord trying to forcibly marry the 13yo daughter from the Bai family treated as a creep going for a child in 10k daos? Her own mother argues that she's "just a child" then.
