Actually, many novels under the fanfiction section don't have any locked chapters even though they're well past 200 chapters. I think it's because WB isn't really allowed to monetize material from a pre-existing series, but I could be wrong. Either way, it is entirely your choice to monetize your story and the chapter locking is one of the most effective way to do so.
