well Chinese have different standards for beauty for eg white is known as albino in normal places whereas it's considered beauty in Chinese, frankly a person who is totally white wouldn't look good.
in China when people go outside they wear as much as possible to get whiter skin because the whiter your skin the richer you are because the darker
