I only started a week ago and I was also shocked to find out that I had to pay from chapter 10, but don't worry it is not going to devour your money actually, it's worth the read at the end of the day. I guess the author wants to drive more thirst from the reader at the expense of losing them. But it's fine since we don't know what is in his mind as well!
