eh. the reviews got my hopes up. the author is not consistent and clear. *POSSIBLE SPOILERS* in just the first few chapters the FL randomly figures out she can determine quality of gems by touch (literally says "she suddenly thought of something," and tried it out). and then starts the whole betting on gambling jade and that when I stopped. bleh.

Same tbh. I already felt iffy about it after that fiancee lady and her two thugs came to set the house on fire a second time like 5 minutes after the boyfriend / husband saved her from the first fire and left.
