This is a sweet, short story. A good, simple relationship between the MC's but it's light on romance and more about action and righting what was wrong. There's romance, but the focus is on the FL's plans to avenge her family and stop the families trying to get rid of the other military families like hers. It's a fairly good story, but it is very surface, without many details or world building or character building. But it also doesn't have misunderstandings or white lotuses or overdone drama. It's a good light read and it's not upsetting even though several things were not resolved or done. This book was obviously finished in a hurry just to wrap it up, but it's still better than those authors who just stop writing. And the ending is okay.
