This story is just a Warhammer 40k fanfiction trying to pass itself off as an original novel. The MC is a Space Marine Librarian fighting against Chaos and we have already been introduced to the 4 gods of chaos the Brutal god (Khorne) the Filthy god (Nurgle) the god of Lust (Slaanesh) and the god of Trickery Tzeentch we even have Ancient genes (Geneseed) and the one mentioned as an example is the Fallen angel (Sanguinius). I don't hate fanfics in fact I like them but by posting this as an original novel not only does it rip off GW it also means we need to pay to unlock more chapters to read fanfiction and that's what bothers me the most but if you can look pass this fact it's not a bad story so far I just don't want to waste FP or pay for a fanfic.

It's not really a book it's a war game with enough lore they made hooks out of it and the name is literally Warhammer 40k. Don't confuse it with Warhammer Age of Sigmar that's their fantasy version while 40k is the sci fi fantasy 40k meaning 40,000 year into the future. if you want some books to read from the lore I suggest the Ciaphas Cain books first to ease new readers in cause the 40k franchise is very grim dark humanity has fallen from the age of enlightenment and we are besiged from all sides by all kinds of aliens from never ending hungering bugs to Big dumb Orks that reproduce by war and can make any tech work as long as they believe it will work. Ciaphas Cain is more comedic while giving you a taste of how bad the setting is. if you want a more lore heavy then reading the Horus heresy storyline is my recommendation. Special recommendation is the Infinite and the Divine for some Xeno lore and Eisenhorn for inquisition.

BTW if you play video games Space Marine 2 just came out and that will show you a clear picture of what 40k has to offer.
