Hace siglos, después de Cristo, los seres humanos se dieron cuenta de lo frágil que eran sus vidas. A la luz de la luna, criaturas sobrenaturales como vampiros, hombres lobo y monstruos que desafiaban la imaginación salían de las sombras para cazarlos por mera diversión o para alimentarse. Agotados por siglos de terror, los humanos comenzaron a idear formas de defenderse, aprendiendo los secretos de sus enemigos y armándose con el conocimiento antiguo de la magia, la alquimia y la fe. Así surgieron los primeros Cazadores o los "Alaparlar".
No todos sobrevivieron el brutal entrenamiento y las pruebas de fuego, pero aquellos que lo lograron se convirtieron en una nueva clase de guerreros: humanos que cazaban a los cazadores, imparables y sin piedad, consagrados a proteger a la humanidad, incluso a costa de perder su propia humanidad. Exhausted by centuries of terror, humans began to devise ways to defend themselves, learning the secrets of their enemies and arming themselves with the ancient knowledge of magic, alchemy, and faith. Thus the first Hunters or the “Alaparlar” arose.
Not all survived the brutal training and trials by fire, but those who did became a new class of warriors: humans who hunted the hunters, unstoppable and merciless, dedicated to protecting humanity, even at the cost of losing their own humanity. Over time, the most capable and ruthless joined forces in secret orders, scattered across the world, each with its own rituals and codes.
Gavril Batyr Arystanov is one of these Hunters, trained from childhood in Kazakhstan by one of the most orthodox and ferocious branches of the "Alaparlár Order." At eighteen, he has completed basic training and must now face his baptismal test: a solo hunt that will turn him into a true monster killer. Cold, methodical, and filled with an unwavering hatred for any non-human creature, Gavril not only fights to survive, but to purge the world of everything that does not belong to the human race.
His first mission takes him to the small and seemingly quiet town of Forks, Washington, where some neophytes lurk. But Gavril will soon discover that this is only the beginning.
