The best thing about this novel is the writing. I love the author’s word choices. So much alliteration, and great word choices for specific sentence lengths and paragraph spacing, make the pages come alive. The story is great too. The main characters are always growing, and the way the author jumps the time line back and forth for different points of view is great. The world building is coming along slowly but surely and I have great expectations for it.

Thank you so much for noticing the small technical things! 🙏😭 I spend an offensive amount of time on minor things like not starting sentences with the same word for three sentences, and not using names twice. So it made my night that someone noticed! World building is strange in this novel at first because everyone's chilling in mansions while the world's an rolling dumpster fire. That's the fun. However, world building skyrockets after Kaze trains his people. Then mercenaries travel to scavenge goods, and he expands their territory. So it's getting progressively more action, adventure, and partying oriented. 👌 Thanks for your kind review. Enjoy!
