Google Translate by default translates any language into english before translating into the chosen language. For example Chinese->English and finally English->Russian Unlike machine translation, human translation does not translate the text word for word in order to retain it literally. The human translator adapts the text to the dialect of the target language taking into account the culture and in turn even adapts jokes or expressions that would not make sense if translated literally. The chinaisims are still in this novel. So, at times, it sounds like a wuxia. coupled with some communist hate on capitalism. Also, it has really bad sentence structure at times. I have no idea what the main character looks like. Much of the characters are either bland or unlikable. It is a nice idea for a story, but this translation was not done well enough to make it a good read. it can be frustrating at times when you feel you're listening to someone who hit their head, tell a story.
