Well, what can I say but too fanciful. The problem with the novel is that it wants to portray Pokémon as a darker world than the anime, which I agree, and tell the story of someone who has nothing reaching the top. The problem is that first the thoughts, the twists, the betrayals, etc. are too exaggerated, to the point of being surreal. Second, they describe him as cautious, determined and ruthless when he gets into a lot of trouble for not being decisive and even though he sees the problems coming, he is delayed for x and they happen to him. And third, it is impossible that every 3 days he goes somewhere and something happens right there and many times he is in the center of everything and survives, it is much worse than a cultivation protagonist and yet he acts like a nobody, normal and current.
