That flame and the 100% chance. i do not like it. i like alchemy stories but that success chance makes it worthless. alchemy should be an art that takes hard work to succeed but the system trivialises it

hmmm, although I do see you point, the idea was was inherit all the skills of The Ancient One while finding out who and what the ancient one was to him. Then because he is getting all the memories of the ancient one, starts to go down a dark path of death and destruction. Not sure how far you got, but the aim for this volume will be pretty much focused on Nick and inheriting the ancient ones memories and powers. But thank you for giving this a review!
