It is just the opposite of hate. Every book is a dialogue between the author and the reader. Fantasy requires a strong dose of empathy with the author who plays his character through words. A good author can use small formulas to develop the narrative but the essence cannot be disguised. This book is a corruption of the message. It wasn't written with people in mind, thinking of its origin as a product. It's like a clerk stammering out store instructions with no real interest other than the money on the sale. He doesn't want to know what you're going to use the product for. It's business and not personal.
