In a world of magic they would simply get relevant information out of him. Its not even considered evil but a normal tactic. Besides giving him a peerage and making him a devil would attract the great king factions attention and if they dig into it he would have to spend the rest of his long life fending off assassination attempts.

Also don't brush it off dxd as a nonsensical ecchi harem world the background is basically modern day game of thrones with op characters with minute amount of nonsensical jargon in the middle. No one bargains with a satan more so two of them without enough leverage. Don't be mistaken by sirzechs amicable personality portrayed in media he's a devil war hero and politician same with ajuka the latter might even get mc's transmigrator status as an excuse to experiment on him. Besides the fast paced story narrates mc as a dark character with schemes but in realty he's just plain naive and a monkey dancing around not understanding his weight.
