Story Development: I tried to speed up the pacing for this story (so it will be faster than most of my other ones). However, I tend to pay more attention to detail than most, so just know that most words are intended to have a deeper meaning :D Character Design: The characters aren't perfect, and their choices are sometimes questionable. However, they're designed that way to be realistic. I want them to seem human, so they won't be the perfect FL/ML that you might find somewhere else. World Background: There are lots of hidden doors waiting to be opened :D

Hi Tangerqueen! Can I just say how much I hate your male lead 😂 I truly wish I transmigrated in your story just to punish him and take poor Daphne away. Okay, on serious note, the writing skill is amazing, I see no glaring flaws. Thre plots flow smoothly and the world description is just right. The poor MC is a princess who is left alone to defend her kingdom and is forced to marry a barbarian king that completely lives up to his title if not more. Unlike most forced marriage where the chemistry between the forced parties is apparent, in this story at least the female MC is clearly repulsed by the male lead. It will be interesting to know why the male lead is so weirdly wired. I suspect abuse and neglect. On the other side he tries so hard to conceal his liking for the MC, who is, let's be honest, an absolute dear! The road to happiness is long-winded, but I hope the male lead gets some logic smacked into his head, eventually. At this point he so doesn't deserve Daphne 😡😡😡 Very much recommended for kingdom stories fans who like to read about forced marriage, awesome female MC and insufferable ML who hopefully! One day! Becomes someone who deserves to kiss the MC's boots ❤❤❤

Author's Review 2.0 TLDR: Slowburn Strong and clever FL (from the start, Daphne's goal is clear... she wants to kill the Northern King --> seeing how hot and handsome he may be does not change that) Possessive ML with a dark past (he knows that her "love" is a trap, but he can't stop himself from jumping in) No glorification of r*pe or abuse --- I wanted to make clear that this will not be a novel where the FL immediately falls heads over heels for a ML who destroyed her kingdom and hurt her. If you are looking for a quick romance under the guise of princesses and demons, this story will not satisfy those expectations. Daphne will slowly understand the Northern King's dark past and discover what turned him into the demon he is today. But this pity does not necessarily directly translate into love. At the same time, just because the Northern King falls in love with Daphne does not justify the horrible actions he has already committed, and they are both aware of that. Possessiveness is not healthy for a relationship, and you are your own best savior. Love can complete and mend your life, but it cannot be your entire life. That is the purpose of this story, so if you are looking for a tale where romance is 100% of the chapters, please do not be disappointed when you find that it is not (a large part is exploring the danger of stereotypes and misunderstandings, tensions between kingdoms, and the sadness of court intrigues) Quoting Daphne: “Since you were truthful to me, I wanted to be honest with you as well. If you were hoping I would suddenly forgive you and love you after today, I don’t think I ever will be able to. No matter what you do, you will never be able to conquer me. You may break my physical body with force, but you will never ever own and possess my mind.” (Chapter 45) --- I just wanted to say thank you so much for anyone who has supported me so far. I've never finished a story here on Webnovel before, but I swear I will do everything to make this my first. A comment or vote really goes a long way, and they really do brighten up my day.

The book is the perfect blend of story and the play of words , which won't let you leave without the anxiety of what's going to happen next !! I'm in love with Daphne! Also, the author's description of each scenario deserves special praise; it was so comprehensive that you could almost see what was unfolding. While I haven't finished reading all the chapters yet, I believe this book deserves a review. Author writes in a very engaging way. The interactions between the Northern King and Eversun Princess are enthralling and intriguing. I'm really interested to find out what good secret is. I feel like there's something secret hidden behind that heartless chest👀 Not often I find a FL book that catches my attention with all the small, well done details and tiny actions that help develop the characters and make one not want to stop reading the book.
