Thanks, i guess so. I was very keen on keeping to the timeline and connecting the story to what I had in the ending that I had to throw in Luffy and his lot without changing their connections

if you didn't write any of that part, readers would just assume the OG timeline. However, writing it as Luffy wanting to be a Marine and somehow still gathered his OG crew is too coincidental for me.

gathering them would be meaningless since you can't have a 7 man crew as Marines, or there would be a logical explanation for them to make Luffy a Captain/Leader of a ship.

true, i already altered the direction Robin. Supposed to thinking of them as the original strawhat, I'm just looking at them as children, Nami, Nojiko, Coby, Helmppo, Chopper, Sanji, Zoro, Jonny, Yosaku all of them as marines not just the 7 more so although Luffy has a lot of responsibility I don't think I would put him as a captain (since the story is not about him). in a few chapters you will see why even if they didn't meet in the academy as they did in the story, they would have to meet at the end of the book.
