This novel really isn't too bad. More specifically, the source material doesn't seem too bad. The problem with this novel is that the translation is below MTL level, it's incoherent and I'm insulted that Webnovel actually allowed this to be released. Nowadays trashy novels get decent translations while the somewhat better ones get abysmal ones. I can't in good faith give this a good score due to the translation quality. 0/5.

if you are not aware, webnovel also has whole section of commisioned bad chinese rewrite authors that just want wordcount. they take original novel, butcher it and they dont really care about any mistakes. so could be authors fault, or translators or both.

Tbh, original author has a sense of humor. He wrote in Chapter 160 about how he got scolded by his readers over the Court Drama arc and then got mad and said he was gonna scold those ancient court dramas that he watched as reference. Man even wrote:"Did I dig up your family's dragon veins to steal your throne?". This guy has humor I'll give him that.
