Hmm It's unique to say the least, but the context isn't clear, too many time skips without proper explanation about what happened in such skip.. So yeah try putting some details related to the mc ability improvement, reason's for his actions, and most importantly don't the whole "I decode his gene code let's copy him and make more like him" kind of situations happen, which I'm guessing you were going to do in the next chapter. It will get annoying to be honest.

it's not somethin to excuse yourself on xD. Some people like it, other not, personnaly it depend on the world. If it's a world with many, and I say MANY, wifu like one piece or marvel (comic not MCU), or when the story is multiverse, not having a harem make thinks borring after a few chapter. I ended up reading mainly harem story because, most of the time, if a woman isn't part of the MC harem they tend to be put aside and not developed. Most of them end up as wasted character similar to their original world (look at Orihime from bleach, her power is broken but never truly developed). They have far more chance to be developed if they are part of the MC' Harem (even that isn't sure depending on the author xD). It also help that you tend to be more attached to character that are in a relationship with the MC instead of "oustider".
