Ah, but that's how that world works. Everyone is a chess piece of heavens, having a role to play, and only with great enough personal strength can one do something about it. And it would just be too boring without having to work around the demon Fang Yuan, he’s the final boss of the Gu world and a clear pawn of heaven. I don't know if you read the actual novel, because I don’t think anyone would mind Fang Yuan’s presence. It only makes things more interesting, as he’s not like those annoying Xianxia protagonists. Anyway, gotta remove it because it’s a spoiler.
