Rubbish, incoherent review. You don't like it when the POV very obviously switches for a few paragraphs? Ok that's weird but whatever, I guess that could be a subjective preference. But what kinda mental gymnastics do you need to do to get to "oh so this here is a forewarning to the limitations the eventual boringness of the mc storyline". What is an "MC storyline" and how does a change in POV at the start of a necessarily tell you ANY of this? I've read good novels with frequent POV changes right from the get go (Reverend Insanity for example happens to have a lot of them) so this is already nonsense. Just not true. POV switches don't mean the novel isn't about the protagonist, that's the dumbest thing I've read in a long time. Also, the word "elude" doesn't mean what you think it means, the word you're looking for is allude but even then that's not really the best place to use it I give your review a 0/5. not sure if you're stupid, high or both. If you don't like my review congrats don't care I stand by what I said in relation to the weekly trial reads. I don't have the time to leave a novel length review. Rather than telling people to go find God like a poster boy for virginity why don't you get a life outside of judging others for their opinions which is the entire purpose of letting people leave reviews.

See the thing is, you said barely anything not because your review was short but because of how incoherent your review was (seriously what on earth are you standing by? Read your review again you rambling dimwit) and even then, the comprehensible bits of what you vomited out had no logical basis. Your review implies that you dropped this early but so far the entire novel has very much had its focus on the protagonist so you're unsurprisingly wrong. Seriously, why even review it when you haven't read anything? You literally just dismissed it based off of nonsense, all I did was call you out for being full of sh*te. As for the "go find god" thing, maybe google it you poster boy for unabashed idiocy.

As for change of povs there are at least 3 entire chapter following other characters so I wonder if you have even read it. Also nice job returning poster boy to me although doesn't really have the same effect when you don't use it in conjunction with something to be a poster boy of but that's okay seems simple stuff is complicated for you unless it needs to be googled apparently.

If you actually cared about my review you could have easily asked for further expansion on what I meant in my review. I would have been quite happy to do so in fact but you did not you immediately came at me like I murdered someone close to you. I can only be led to believe you either have some misguided superiority complex that thinks anything besides their own opinion is stupid or you just enjoy trying to bully people, maybe both. Either way after thinking on it I realize while your tirades are mildly amusing they are a waste of my time to respond to repeatedly. So just go on knowing that my review still stands and there is nothing you can change or do about it. So type all you want nobody on here needs to prove themselves to you or rationalize their actions.

fair enough honestly. definitely could've handled it better and i was slightly butthurt bcuz "hey i like this novel and oo look this person gave it a review that seems unfair + it doesn't make sense" (review still doesn't imo). my points still stand but i apologise for initially coming off as passive aggressive/mildly confrontative, that was very immature of me. my second comment (again i gotta emphasise that i still very much agree with all my points, this is very protag centred) kinda just rode off the momentum from your reply n i said "aite i'm going to go out of my way to be impolite" and i apologise for that too since i kinda did it first. anyways i'm going to try to be the bigger man and say that i'm sorry. i was mean and i'm sincerely apologetic.

I get it, it does happen and I have been there as well when I have seen aweful reviews that aggressively attack novels, even ones I don't like. I apologize as well I could have definitely responded better as well and this could have potentially been over much sooner. As for my review I will start by explaining that the way I review trial reads is different than the way I review other reviews in that I either give it a bad review or a good review rarely if ever is it somewhere in between. This is because of the nature of trial reads and their end goal in selecting one or a few to keep going with so I like to cleerly mark what I like and what I do not like. there is more to it than this but I will leave it at this. Now to my review, I attempted to make it clear out the gate that this was an opinion and nothing more because I knew everyone wouldn't agree I also tried to make clear and acknowledge that this opinion is not held to all books as many books will switch povs from time to time and they are great books. Now my beef was mainly with with how it was handled in this novel in that it was so close to the beginning of the novel at least 3 full chapters of alt povs in the first 20 chapters. In a trial read that is often all we get to decide if a novel is worth it or not 20 chapters to decide do we like what we have read and does it have the potential for me to want to continue to read it if it is selected. 3 chapters while not an extreme amount its still significant enough for me to lose out on time spent connecting to the mc so that I want to continue the story because I want to know what happens next. I had just finished reading the other trial read with the tree house where they included in the trade/chat functions that end up spending whole chapter of what is basically the random chatter of others of no consequence so that did influence me a little on this story as well in that to me a pov change this early in the story means that it's likely to be repeated time and time again and I will find myself constantly being forcibly disconnected from the mc and his story to follow someone else that I have no desire to read about, this ruins the ability to immerse in the story for me. Now this may not happen and I may be wrong but all I get is 20 chapters to make my decision so I have to make assumptions on what I believe may happen going forward and if I will be entertained. The last line of my review I do agree it was not well written and was more like escaped internal musings and frustration that were not necessarily tied to my review. Basically they were me griping about how important a good title is and how it is as important as the synopsis in explains what the book is about and it ultimate tone. The only relevance this had on this review and book is that the title clearly has "I" in it which is a singular pronoun so having multiple povs does not match with the title and makes the title a bad representation of the story. I dont expect anyone to agree although some might but this was my thought process in my review and I am sure there is faulty logic in it that someone can point out and that's okay I have no issues with being wrong about something I love to read so always happy to talk about my thoughts on a novel and debate opinions on them as well.
