This novel is filled with non-stop action. Something is always happening. There are plenty of fights. Each character has their own unique set of skills. I enjoyed reading about Yoto and the group that opposes the organized criminals of Drowning Fist. Which skills are better to use in each particular fight? Who should fight whom to win in a team fight? It was fun trying to guess the best option. I also liked how a koshomura had to learn to get along with their kosho to achieve great things.
