Excellent, this story is a rare gem within a sea of terrible wish fullfillment naruto fanfics. The story is well thought out and the pacing is perfect. We won’t have a harem and I have confidence in the authors ability to write a meaningful romance. The author has common sense and is yet to write anything that indicates plot armor or erratic behavior of the MC. Also, it is clear that the author is putting a lot of thought into this story, he even chose the most suitable chakra natures for a swordsman which shows his careful planning. I am excited to read more and hope this continues.

LIKEEvil eyes probably takes the cake for me. Though reborn as madaras grandson is also pretty good along with the yuki/kaguya clan fanfic posted here, though the update rate of that is low. There is also a good fanfic on where a gamer system is actually handled well and the mc fights with one of the seven swords tha5 allows you to use metal wire.
Welbert_Oliveira:It's my favorite FF of Naruto. That and Joyful Shadow
No fanfics are not inherently wish fullfillment. I have read plenty of fanfics where the MC is thrust into a world and suffers terribly due to culture shock, lack of power, or bad luck. Wish fullfillment is basically having a Gary Stu type character who typically has a harem or is OP.
Justin_Steiner:The complaint about fanfic stories being wish fulfillment always seems silly to me... Fanfics are inherently wish fulfillment. It's the whole point of them.
You and I have different definitions then. You're changing a story to your liking. That screams wish fulfillment to me. But I get it and this would just be arguing semantics.

Eh, the author changes the story like they like, does that mean all stories are wish fullfillment? Like I said, I’ve read fanfics that are horrible in their events from the MCs perspective. Picture something no reader would “wish” to go through. For example, being born with limited talent and having your family murdered and yourself tortured to the brink of insanity by enemy ninja. I’ve read fanfics like that, wherein the majority of the story is an incredibly traumitized individual trying to rebuild their sanity and live a peaceful life while escaping from endless nightmares and suffering. Would those be considered “wish fullfillment” fanfics?
