Review Detail of Astralek in The Average DC Experience (COMPLETED)

Are you sick of the usual power-wank, wish-fulfillment garbage? Are you tired of one-dimensional fanfiction protagonists? Have you had your fill of monotonous monologues and forced dialogues? Do you want to see steady, slow character development and power level growth? If you answered yes to all those questions, don't read this fanfiction! Let me break down how the book sucks and how the synopsis hypes you up only to backpedal so hard that you'd think it was a Catholic Minister that accidentally entered a gay bar! - The protagonist is a one dimensional, angsty, foolish teen that eventually matures into a two dimensional angsty, incompetant adult. - Most of the dialogues are passable by themselves until you realise that every character the protagonist talks tl must be a psychic who can read their thoughts as they always seem to know what he did in the past down to the smallest detail. - The dialogue is either painfully bland or as forceful as a Brazilian news anchor trying to get an interview. At one point, I even had the surreal feeling that this whole fanfiction has to be an elaborate troll as the Author wrote the characters thoughts on how he had no idea about why he was doing what he was doing but felt compelled to do it anyway. - The 'steady, slow character growth' is actually just painfully slow arcs where the protagonist has his proverbial b*lls dragged over hot sand by the Author who thinks trauma = character development. The 'steady' part of the character development really meant that the character will make the same mistake two or three times before learning his lesson, so that you can continue reading the same shrivelled up, uninteresting story arc for another ten chapters. - The power level growth is so steady and slow that the protagonist by chapter 8 already had the stat points needed to be physically stronger than Batman. Earlier I said I felt this book might be an elaborate troll, because the protagonist literally mentions this exact point of how he could instantly be as physically powerful as Batman but just refuses because of some ethereal compulsion he has to not use the stat points(and it literally says he feels a compulsion not to use them). - The protagonist was stopped from completing his quest two or three times by pure 'coincidence' and even mentions that the protagonist feels that the whole world seems to not want him to complete the quest. 1/5 Stars. This Author is either of the three following; He has zero self awareness, he's a mastermind of a troll, or just bad at writing. The synopsis must have been related to a wish the Author made with the Monkeys Paw, and the Monkeys Paw curled.
