No. Himself. Yes. Not really, he has some following during the prologue before mystery comes to the real world. I should warn that the mystery only goes up until he reaches tier 6-7 (around chapter 560). Then the author starts a ton of mini world stories (supposed to be part of the ascencion ritual but still hasn’t ended as of chapter 800). My guess is the author couldn’t decide where to go next because it turned into eastern fantasy, then reality-game, and now qi-luck. It is still well written and I am already in too deep, but I thought I should warn anyone else about it.

Only for people with patience and an open mind. Unique concept and a new type of plot that seems very very interesting. You know what, I'll wait for this to gain more chapters before devouring it whole. Meanwhile, I'll prey on those mass produced CNs to satisfy my dopamine demand.

Okay updated review for post chapter 570ish to 800. Unfortunately the author decided to ditch mythos in favor of eastern fantasy and game world related tropes. Their reasoning is that it is part of the ascencion requirements, but we all know they probably got tired of writing mythos or couldn’t decide how to progress the plot. Still well written, but not what I signed up for. Has no signs of going back any time soon as of chapter 800 and seeing as this series only has 1000 something chapters total I really doubt that it will spend many of the remaining chapters on mythos.

Similar to Lord of the Mysteries, but not a rip off. The translation is fairly decent, except names are interchanged. A lot. Contextually you can follow along, but it ruins the pace when you have to stop and figure out who’s doing what since it seems like a new character is introduced. Also flip flops for ability categories.

Another good book by The Plagiarist. This story is a combination of a lot of popular tropes that have been circulating in the top 100 chinese webnovels. It has lots of similarities with Lord of the Mysteries.

This is literally like the starting of the Lord of mysteries world.. At least the the first 273 chapters feels like it.. Its a fun read if you like LOM you will enjoy this as well..

The first 500 chapters are amazing. It has LOM inspiration, creation powers, and strong story. The rest is very weak. It changes the genre entirely and almost nothing is the same. If you read this, stop at 560. Don't go any further. Once you hit 560 chapters consider the story as being completed. If you read on, you're experience with this novel will be tainted and your time will be wasted.
