Overall, one of my favorite stories, I like the concept of the two families and other smaller powers dominating the world, also, I do find a little confusing the difference in powers between ages and swordsmen, a 9-star mage and a 9-star swordsman seem to have a big difference in power.

If you are talking about when the eldest sister was fighting Andrei, it would make sense why the magician was weaker. The magician was using the orb, which meant he could not cast his own spells.
