This is a cute one so far 💜. Summary and spoilers ahead: The FL in her past life, lived until she was 70+ years old. She had a family who loved and supported her, so overall she lived a happy and peaceful life. The only thing is, she never married so she felt a bit lonely because of this. She gets reborn at age 14 where she gets another opportunity to marry so she decides to find a good husband. Enter the ML. He was a general in her past life and they never interacted with each other but they do in this life. She's afraid if him because he is huge and looks scary and in her past life she heard he was a ruthless general. The ML is possessive and jealous. Real yandere this one. He's also protective and caring though. I'm not sure how I feel about him yet. 🌟 Super spoiler (skip if you don't want to see): The FL has been reborn with a magical ability. She can read minds when she touches someone, however it goes beyond just that. It's more psychic. She's able to draw out thoughts and memories and can actually see the memories of the other person. I think this is how she's going begin to trust the ML and not be afraid of him. 🌟 End of super spoiler. Overall it's an interesting one so far and I'm enjoying it 😊💞. Hope to see more of it, and mostly hope it doesn't dissapoint down the road.

The novel started out strong but later the author kind of forgot all about interpersonal development and instead got lost in all the (filler) crimes that the MC/FL and ML runs around solving. As such, my overall impression of the novel falls kind of flat and I've discontinued my reading due to boredom. Still, the novel gets almost four stars in total score, but that's mostly thanks to the translation quality and the updates.

Don't trust the synopsis. If you are looking forward to reading a sweet story about a pretty and delicate girl and her 'scary' general, then, you'll probably be disappointed as this was not what the book is about. FL rebirthed and obtained some kind of psychic power. Somehow, she entered Taoism and defeated all evil to return good to the world. Later, there was also some cultivation stuff involved. I was looking forward to reading a sweet story about a delicate wife and her fierce husband. But in the end, I stayed around for the mystery and those interesting cases in the story.
