The plot started out slow for me at first but, as I read I discovered that it was just at the right pace. The FL makes you cheer her on and even look for more face-slapping opportunities. My disappointment about this story is the starting age of the FL, 9 going on 10, yes 9 years of age going on 10. Considering the pace of the story, if I have to wait for the FL to reach a marriageable age ...it too daunting. The schemes are not over the top, but somehow the story is lacking in some areas. It's good, time skips would be wonderful as age progression would be better than a daily account.

It’s not a bad book but I just don’t understand why almost every single translation group can’t get the pronouns right. It’s up to the point that even words like grandmother turn into grandfather. So I honestly suspect that all translations nowadays are MTL and that the translation groups don’t bother to check if it’s translated correctly. If you already get paid for the translation then why can’t you put in a bit of effort. As a reader I don’t expect a perfect translation but I still want to be able to enjoy reading without feeling as if I’m reading an MTL book.

I‘ve read the entire novel and it‘s great! Most importantly no stupid misunderstanding between the leads and just pure sugar. I also love how intelligent the female lead is. I never need to worry about schemes against her because she is able to deal with it just fine. The male lead is an orphan so no annoying relative or evil mother-in-laws.
