Why? Harem isn't necessarily a bad thing.

UndeadBeing
UndeadBeingLv12

Everything about it is terrible, getting a harem is highly improbable, the things you need to do is too much for 1 man to handle, the part of getting the women to love you is also improbable since nobody wants to be the second girlfriend much less the 1st sharing with some random girl. It's alright to read 1 or 2 harem novels but reading more is detrimental, nobody should be lost in an fantasy, way better to read something realistic. So if you've read 1 or 2 then that's alright, 3 or more and the dillusion starts. This site is full of trash, authors that beg for money and force people to pay constantly to read a page, authors who bait childish people to reading their book by adding a godforsaken harem into it just to earn money from the dillusional, books that are nationalist and bad but still get put at the top for more people to be mislead. Imagine paying 2 dollars to read 1 page of a 1000 page novel... better yet imagine having to maintain relationships between yourself, 5 people to eachother, 5 people towards yourself and have to last long enough to please 5 others... Imagine trying to get multiple people to date you since 1 girl was clearly not enough, and have the audacity to tell the first girl she's not enough... at this point it isn't just for "enjoyment" it's an addiction that authors fuel by spamming harems just to trick you into buying 100's of dollars worth of coins to pay them, and all they do is put each girl into the harem out of the blue because they're too lazy to flesh the characters out.

why is your first defence slavery? There's others you could've referenced... anyways I'm hesitant to look at the others since your first option was slavery. Can you list like 1 more so I don't have to talk about whatever dumpster fire reply you thought of.

Since he deleted his reply I'll tell you what he said, he said "You obviously haven't heard of a slave harem, there's more types of harems that aren't soft like the ones you mentioned" that's why I said what i said.

i agree with you, i used to watch or read harem, and over time it just made me tired. Unlikable plain mcs getting a bunch of girls to like him is beyond ridiculous, and having to be mindful of the feelings of multiple women at the same time is emotionally exhausting. There are two outcomes, either the women are not fleshed out and are there for variety's sake, or it is fleshed out and that's all the novel will be, eventually making the reader numb to too much romance. if you love everyone, then you love no one.

Like a jack of all trades, you're so focused on getting them that you don't even pay attention to them once they're caught.

What a weird reason to not want to read a fantasy book with magic, future life regression, gods, systems and other totally realistic things. It's totally valid not to like a particular trope or trend, but please don't try and justify your dislike with some bs about it being unhealthy to read unrealistic things when you're clicking on stories that are explicitly fantasy. Not that your weird follow up argument about paywalls being directly tied to harems is any better. Because that's somehow even worse, so congratulations on that achievement. Though you do get bonus points for finally starting to get in the ballpark of an actual reason to be against them in the last half your your last sentence. Even if it's just a statement that characters should have characterization which, lets be honest, is actually more in the vein of bad writing is bad than particular trope is bad.

I've had many people agree with me, I've also worded my reasons differently while still having a core reasoning, I've also worded reasons with others and came to understandings, I'm not going to argue with someone trying to insult me(Failing miserably at that) as a main point of your arguement, Other people have agreed to my reasoning and thus far I don't care what you think of my statement, check the guy agreeing with me for better information because I cannot be bothered to argue with someone so closely related to the first guy who commented. Better yet just don't try to argue that it's an odd reason with a guy under this agreeing with me :/ a totally good place to call my reason stupid, a better one could be a comment section filled with people who aren't stupid and dillusional to the point they treat women like collectables for sick fantasies. It'd be great if they also think harem is trash, you'd have a good time there. If you can't tell, I've wrote all this so the likes of you had to read my rambling on why you're an idiot. Don't bother replying to this cause I don't use this site much, it's a miracle I even cared enough to check my notifications and reply.

My dude, you seem pretty touchy over the fact someone said it's cool not to like something but didn't agree with your reasons for not liking it. You're statements are, at best, arguing that badly done harems are bad and, at worst, arguing that fiction and serialization are objectively harming to the human condition. Still, I'm glad you can't be bothered to reply despite obsessively replying to everyone who replied to you. I barely use this site I say with nearly two thousand comments.

Hmm I'm back, so I'll respond to your stupidity and leave to go talk with more people who have brains to read, If you would kindly look at the review it say "I'm sad this is harem, the premise seemed good" Now I know you're no gonna get this the first time but "I'm sad this is harem" means I said harem is bad, Please stop being an idiot and try to get an actual argumental point. Even more "the premise seemed good" also points to me saying all harem is bad, try to read. Skimming through words to try to fabricate an argument got you nowhere. Goodbye, wish you luck on your next failure of an argument.

Were you that guy that lost the argument back on a different novel? Yeah that's who you are, did you stalk my comments? Anyways calling yourself "daddy" is the most pathetic thing I've seen, let me get this straight, you either 1 stalked my page to find this, or 2 are a harem reader looking all over for terrible novels filled with the terrible harems. Let's get on to what you said, I don't have a wife yet, you're too young to be a father, considering you read harems, and just because you lost an argument don't continue trying to annoy the person because you're mad harems will forever be trash.

Well I'm not that opposed to harem so BIG QUESTION: How big is the harem in this webnovel? Cause I can't handle 10 ladies with one man, thats stuff of royalty not common man

UndeadBeing
UndeadBeingLv12

No idea I just avoid novels that are harem. I won't get too into it but I've never seen a harem novel that develops each member seperately and add in newer scenarios and the like. Some of them just ignore the harem alltogether, others just group them up and mass produce progress like a factory. Anything above 1 is trash. Anyways I say too much so I'll just leave you with: It's bound to be trash if it's harem.

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions known. Thank you.
