MC is whiny, tells others about his system in Ep 1 for some God awful reason. Why authors insist on doing this is absolutely mind boggling and annoying. Was really looking forward to a good Magus MC in fate because I enjoy the magecraft aspect of it more than anything else but the fact he goes "I cheated cuz I'm a gamer with an rpg system so don't be sad anymore" is an absolute deal breaker.

since in your summary you seemed confused about why people dont like / despise telling other characters about the system, i am going to try to explain. its a combination of the mc being or feeling weak and out of control of the situation when telling someone especially if that character is stronger than them. exposing their hand leaving themselves wide open for exploitation or snubbing from that character or any other character they tell at little to no gain. basically its high risk little reward that almost never makes sense and thus either breaks any immersion or makes the mc look so dumb they become hated by the reader.

Well summed up, and that's just for baseline gamer stories. This is FATE for God's sake and he tells a young, impressionable, manipulated orphan what is simultaneously his greatest strength and greatest weakness so she doesn't feel *bad* is just.. it's so dang moronic I can't even wrap my head around it

Because if you haven't read a System story, or anything related to such fiction. They wouldn't understand?

First, he not just told the girl and left, he spent time convincing her. Second, if he stay weak all the time,he can say he is son of god and no one would believe him. But if he get strong just a bit faster than anyone else, people will take his word literally and try to discover his secret . And this is a world of frinckin magic and power, even if they dont understand what a system is , they still know he has a better way to power up, so unless he has a super trong background or the author pull out the thiccest plot armor ever, his life is doom.
