I'm not saying this novel is bad or anything. I just wanted to say why do writers love to make the protagonist have to go through the family drama complex? They weren't even his parents, and what made the most sense was that his real parents and family were still on earth, and he was here acknowledging them as new parents to him? Is it so difficult to make a protagonist who doesn't have to be reincarnated into someone else? Why not just make the protagonist transmigrate with the created body he wants? That's why I'm fed up with cultivation novels where the protagonist is reborn as a baby or reincarnated by entering someone else's body! It was clear that he still had his real family and parents on earth, why did he have to admit they were like new parents to him? Maybe if he was an orphan or a lonely person who had no one on earth it would be understandable. Sorry, if I were in the position of the protagonist, I would tell them the truth, I would tell them that I am not their biological child, because their child has died and I am only occupying his body. They probably won't believe what I say or at worst they'll think I killed their biological son and occupied his body. I also have another choice, as long as I occupy their child's body, I will distance myself from them, I will cultivate until I become very strong, then I will create a new body for me to occupy, with that I will return their child's corpse to them. . The point is it doesn't make sense that you have to go through a family drama, because they are complete strangers to you.

LIKEthis is mmm , stupid i didnt read the novel but i have read many novels ( i have 1k hour of read in this account only , i have about 4~5 k of reading hour across my aaount) now there is many things that could have happend 1 the two soul merged = so you cant foult mc for loving his family 2 he lived with them as child and loved them so at least want to repay them for the work they put in raisng him. 3 he occupied the body after mc died and only get the memory but not the emotion , i could do more possibility but anyway . so here we have to possible scenario for the last one 1 he get the body memory go on and live in a new life on his own without care about his family 2 he dose get the body and feel guilt so he try to subsitute fot it by being thir child , its the least you can in this situation . saying that you occopied the body is a big no no . also you need to survive so being in a family help.
How stupid do you have to be to tell them that you reincarnated… even going as far as telling them that you took over their baby’s body. It only leads them to depression, and many would kill you…i have around 3k hrs reading time and read almost 3000 books… let me tell you most readers hate when MC tell others that he/she is a reincarnated person…worse you tell other that you took over the body.

I didn't read the novel but your logic has many gaps. if he grew up again from a baby stage (which you seem to imply) then of course he will think of them as family. ever heard of foster parents? adopted people? my point is it all depends on how much time they spent together and how much emotionally invested his new family is. his earth identity ended when he/she left earth. I don't know if he died on earth but if he did then that life is over, and he got a new life/start and a new family
many people in real life keep secrets. I would even claim that there is no adult human who goes to the grave without at least one thing that no one else knows about them
Mr_Babbles:i agree, people on webnovel think that revealing yourself to be reincarnated is a sin, but it's a human thing to do

most of the people on this comment thread haven't even read this story and giving their opinion. Ainz20 comment is totally valid for this story. The mc has not reincarnated by being a baby with new parents. he took over an adult body, and has interacted with body's parents for only 2 months before the family competition starts. he got no help from family, he got strong only bcz of system. and his father never protected him, from being called trash by family. but when mc suddenly shows strength by beating other youngsters of family in competition, he again berates mc by saying, you should have not shown strength, now enemies will come. .. duh. father should have kept eye on his kid then.. this story is stupid basically
I understand the not acknowledge the new parent, but why tell them? It like the stupidest move to make. And feel guilty because you kill their child? like you have any control over who you reincarnated into? There a reason why early transmigration had the mc reincarnated into a dead person body. New author don't understand how to used this trope, or just only used it because other people used it as well.
