You know......... that web always seemed silly to me. I mean the biological spider web from the old movies. You can't be a superhero with a secret identity if you go around town leaving DNA samples all over the place. By the way, the excuse for his added abilities is that the spider is bigger? But why is it bigger? I hope you can explain that, just say your future self left that spider.

LIKEIt's bigger because of genetic variation. Some humans are bigger than other humans, the same applies to spiders. Saying his future self left that spider would just be lazy and create a potential time paradox. As Hulk says in Endgame, you can't change your past by effecting your future because if Peter travelled back in time that technically would be his future--it'd just make things really complicated. The reason for his added abilities is because more spider DNA was added to the enhanced spiders. I thought that was pretty obvious? He's stronger than he would've originally been because it was a rather monstrous specimen that passed on it's own enhanced abilities to Peter. He basically got bit by a stronger enhanced spider, so it passed on it's own stronger DNA resulting in him being stronger than he would've been if a more normal version of the enhanced spider bit him. Also, his webbing doesn't leave his DNA. Just spider DNA because that's what produces it.
