I heard that book two is going to be from Riftan's viewpoint and I am super excited to see his perspective. At first, I wished Maxi was a stronger character but as the story progresses, the reader understands more and more about how her upbringing has shaped her and how slowly she is building her self-esteem to become a person worth rooting for.
