It starts off with a bed scene. FL was drugged, no idea how she ended up in the bed of the ML, as she was supposed to be in a fat, ugly, old man's bed. The Chinese novel way declares that it is better to be raped by a rich, handsome, young man, so that happened. Upon waking up the next day FL realises that she has been reborn, and she knows that a set up is going to happen at her company. So, before going into work, she finds a man sitting on the side of the streets to pretend to be her one night stand. He even has to dust his clothes when he stands up. This man turns out to be the richest young master in the city, powerful and smart. Author, may I ask: why was he sitting on the side of the road? Then, once inside the company, the conspiracy unfulds, but FL is prepared. This scene drags on. And on. And on. I skipped large parts of it. After the rich young master helps her and the scene is finally over, she gives him 2000 in cash. Afterwards, an hour or so later, she also pays the hospital 2000 in cash. Dear author: who carries that much money in cash? By the way, there is also references to her phone, an old Nokia without camera. The world background is 2012. I think that in a 'rich, developed city', as the author describes, it is almost impossible to carry such an old phone in 2012? But that could be my first world brain speaking. So, as you have read, this was all only the first day. After this day, the story takes place in her hometown. At first it was kind of okay, but there is always something happening. I again skipped large parts. I was shocked at the scene of CR being paralyzed because he could not pay the hospital, and even getting kicked out of the hospital. This can't be real? Even in a story I cannot accept this. What I also could not accept is a short sidestory, about a woman who buys FL's veggies. This woman's husband has been cheating on her for years, and she knows, but doesn't divorce because the husband threatens her with her children. She thinks her children don't know, but her daughter knows. The daughter even tries to get her parents back together by using pretending to be cute and letting her mother do things for her father, or call him. Here, the daughter asks her mother to cook for the husband and bring the food to the company. Mayhem unfolds, mistress gets abandoned. And husband realises how amazing his wife can cook, and goes back home to eat from now on. Husband happy. Daughter happy. And mother must also be happy, cause who doesn't want the dirty cheater back? After al, FL's veggies are good for your health, and can 'safe a family', says the author a few chapters later. I dropped it when the FL was once again almost stabbed to death, and ML rescues her. I just couldn't feel it. All the FL was doing was annoying me. She is basically a superhuman, but can be almost stabbed to death by a beggar on the streets? In this scene there is also some foreshadowing, 'how hard' it will be for FL to raise the baby alone. Hello feminism? So, what I do like: the concept of the story. It is honestly a good idea with so much potential. Modern day, FL protagonist with a farm space and a cute child. I love such settings! What I don't like: the dragging of the story and scenes. The callousness and narrow mindedness of the people. The contrasting scenes. The ML. I wouldn't recommend it, but I also wouldn't not recommend it. For me it is barely worth a 2.5. Empty your mind if you try, otherwise you'll be dropping it real quick.

Totally agree! If they just focused on the business side of things and her raising her kid this could be a really sweet story. The ML sucks!

I wouldn't say scum. He literally doesn't care abou the Fl at all until he finds out she's pregnant then he shamelessly sticks to her even after she explicitly tells him she's uncomfortable with it and he says she'll just have to get used to it. Super Super shameless. you feel bad for the fl because the whole time he's there she's afraid he's gonna take her kid away
