raw power wise not that far but still should be interesting to read
While not an exact comparison, you can think of the difference between 'High Fantasy' and 'Sword and Sorcery'. Xianxia is High Fantasy like Lord of the Rings, a world with immortal elves and an item that can help you conquer the world. Wuxia is Sword and Sorcery like Conan the Barbarian.
I thought Wuxia was just pure martial arts and internal energy, with some beasts that could absorb Qi. I didn't know it could have magic too.
you don't get the comparison, he meant in power levels. something like the desolate era is xianxia and then wuxia is just normal martial arts
probably all the way to the end of the story which is both less and more than most xianxia go
With concepts of xianxia and different worlds in the synopsis. Mc is definitely going to jumps to higher realm.

The MC has an immortal cultivation technique. It just starts in a Wuxia world, but that's just a mortal plane amongst the myriad planes of a Xanxia world.

Wuxia more close to reality while Xianxia isn't.
Wuxia: Martial Hero Xianxia: Immortal Hero
Wuxia: Mortal, Martial Art, Qi, Inner Strength Xianxia: Immortal, Gods, Demons, Heaven and Earth, and definitely can't forget "Split the sky, move mountains, drain the sea with a wave of hand"
Average Wuxia strength: Average human to Mountain, Can't affect laws, concepts, dimension, aspects and etc. Average Xianxia strength: Average human to ???, even when your so strong that you could literally destroy and recreate a multiverse with a though, be able to affect Time-Space, Reality as we know it, cross to a 12th dimensional plane and back, control laws and the fate of all living beings beneath you. Be always prepared and acknowledge the fact that you may die and get erased from existence just because some old monster looked at your general direction from the past, 20 timelines away (he is not even in the multiverse you are in btw) after exiting his secluded cultivation session.
well, the wuxia here can travel through space, create any universe and is eternal...try could equal a cultivator Albeit bairly
