Honestly in the first 20 chapters if you removed all the talk about how useless the knight class is there would only be about 5 chapters worth of content. it's the default class that seemingly a large amount of people have to take due to lack of options but this story falls into the pitfall of everyone having an opinion on the MC and we have to hear from each one friend, rival, teacher, parents, principle, random classmates, etc.

LIKEAh, the 'comment section' as I call it, seems prevalent in VR/Game/'Player' novels. It could have to do with the meta-ness of these plot themes and/or subgenres, in how a lot of the world, specifically, the ones that confront the MC (or worse the nobodies around the confrontation) just 'know' so much. But, this 'plot device' (at this point) is probably caused by netizen authors that don't know/care how people communicate face to face, IMO. As I really like the theme of the world or a portion of it getting 'superpowers' (grew up reading x-men) even if it's just a game, I kind of accept it and speed-read the opinions of unimportant characters like a Reddit thread. Also, novels that do this read best in mini-arc binges, especially, Player/Hunter/Ranker novels or you'll feel like you've wasted your time. P.S. Haven't read the novel, so hope I'm not off the mark.

I think the reason why it's so prevalent in Chinese novels(while mostly absent from KR/JA novels) is something related to Chinese culture where face is the most important stuff. While the degree varies from story to story, the stories are not about fights but more about looking MC making others losing face while he's gaining face.
i don't feel like mc is gaining face, it gives me vibes of *i was poor back then and now i'm rich so i don't talk to poor and weak people like you* and the only thing that makes it work is that people in chinese novels don't know what common sense is every mc of chinese novels are absolute psycopaths and serial killers, atleast from every single novel i've read so far

Can some one please request Webnovel to include an option of changing chapters from swiping up and down to swiping left or right. I think that will make reading much easier, cause I don't know why but I always get irritated swiping down since ads are always in the way. I don't have a problem with the ads but swiping down to the next chapter is very annoying.
