Seeing as how there are no complaints or contests from previous owners, it would be safe to assume that these businesses are all purchased. Furthermore, a lot of these companies were for sale (maybe all of them) and the system likely just bought them rather than take them from the rightful owner. Still unfair, but nowhere near as bad.

U have to remember that, in Eastern culture, face and standing are considered more important than one’s own life oftentimes, even in modern society. Also, do you really think that MC would be satisfied with simply killing his half brother after everything that happened to him. Only by destroying bros life as MCs life was destroyed would he feel vindication and like he had obtained justice for his mother.
