I was late!! This is Joker's 10th story, so people should already be familiar with what he writes. But if for some reason you are not familiar with HokyJoker novels, then I am sure this one would be enough to make you into a fan! Mc would be smart, and psychopathic even, but in the end, he'd be realistic. Good luck for a wild ride!

I read a bit of a lot of his fics and I haven't liked a single one yet, mainly because of how much I dislike his main characters.

Not at all. but what I'm more bored of than evil mc is psychopath/sociopath mc. I swear, if I ever read another story about some MC who sacrificed his own mother because "meh, it's not really my mother" despite her raising him for the last 12 years...I'm going to flip.

what is machiavellian? i never said that tho, only in this context because the mc seems to not care about others since he went to the point of sacrificing his 'mother'. i do have empathy but its only a book, relax. if u don't like it then u can leave. i personally like cruel, cold, psychopathic, mischievous mcs so it doesn't really bother me if the mc sacrifices someone for something.

The reason why cold hearted MC don't love their mothers even though they have raised them for a long time is the possibility that they might have killed the child inside originally and take over. No matter what mother they would be angry that their child has been killed and taken over by a random stranger. It's why most cold MC don't get too attached because they know they might have killed the mother original child.

No, that is an excuse some writers use. But it doesn't make any sense whatsoever (except in some case where they actually kill the person they reincarnate as) She is your mother if she gave birth to you. What does it matter if you remember an earlier life? Also you forgot to read my whole argument but I'll summarize a part of it. Love is biological, you would feel love towards your mother because the human body produces those chemicals automatically when you're a baby. I've read those boorish arguments before but they really have no weight. They write those mcs for two main reasons. 1. Because they can't write emotions or progression. 2. Because they adores those kind of characters, which I find disgusting.

It would be a excuse most of the time but then there is supernatural parts. How can a character who comes from a world without superpower suddenly uses superpowers that come from the soul. Also Joker mc do have developments. Jaws one of the joker mc has a big family.

There are literally children who hate their mothers, haven't you heard of multiple children's killing their mothers or children running away from their parents because they hate their mother and parents.

Also it's just someone's taste. Jokers mc are logical and it gets tiring reading a Herioc mc who's naive who wants to save everyone. I don't hate naive mc like Luffy but most of the time writers don't write naive mc right.

Plus being evil doesn't mean you don't have someone you love or care about. Psychopathy is a mental illness, therefore, psychopaths aren't even human or more accurately lack something that every healthy human has, no matter how evil or good morally they may be.

Well, HolyJoker always writes the same kind of protagonists (cold, distant, and with sociopathic streaks). If you know him as an author, you should know what his preferred style is. Arguing about it is stupid. Enjoy it, or not.

Well MOST authors vary their style slightly across different works so since he keeps producing long works I check in to see if he's trying something else. What's wrong with that? I can't stand his MCs, the world building is fine.
