Then you should read the story. The synopsis is misleading and unreliable. Felt like I have to write this... FL was the first one at fault (author gloss over this but commenter kept pointing it out which I agree on). He admitted to himself that he was angry at some point but he did not abandon her. She mostly implies that she is his benefactor. This might work in a matriarchal family but ML's identity is not fit for that. He only wants safety, revenge (not on fl) and many more.. The way these two fight is just like an old married couple, where in the fight the husband becomes stupid and wife becomes violent. Which frustrates me a bit actually.

Please don’t write a review bassed on the synopsis While it may be a good indicater of whats to come, IT IS NOT something you should base your review on as it is in no way the whole picture. As someone who was also sceptical of the story having a trashy ML, I actually went ahead and read the story to make my judgement. And while it is in no way worth a award or 5 star review, it is better than a lot of other books on this platform. And as the saying goes don’t judge a book by it’s cover

This is a very "normal" historical novel. No powers, no rebirth, no transmigration of any sort. The FL is a very good merchant and is great at handling businesses. I dislike the ex-husband though it seems like he is so unsure of his feelings for our FL. She saved him and he got amnesia. He married into the family and they lived a peaceful life with the FL but when he got his memory back, he left her with their son, and 2 months later, she got a divorce letter from him. Turned out that she was swapped from birth and she was Duke's eldest daughter. The family is good except for the youngest daughter who acts like a shrew. He wanted the FL to be his second concubine (Still she will be a mistress). I do hope though that he is not the ML. I hope the FL will find someone who will love her and someone who wouldn't take any concubine. All in all, I think it's great if the storyline focuses on her culinary skills lol. That would be a twist. However, if it will only talk about the concubines and all that then it wouldn't be interesting at all
