The novel so far is great and is a very enjoyable read, but I’m just wondering if I need to read MDS to understand MWS completely?

you do not need to read the others to understand this one. they all take place in the same universe but they are completely different time eras. all stand on their own. but... MDS is the 1st novel set in this universe, MVS the 2nd, and MWS is the third. timeline speaking... I'm not sure where MWS fits but the other two are in order.
