Webnovel doesn't understand that it has become monotonous and boring. but these novels still keep coming, i reckon there is no quality control on webnovel

LIKENow most of the book are taken from faloo, written by teens and new authors. Don't expect quality works. The more professional authors are in Qidian but due to licensing issue are not being translated. What do u expect from a book with the title "afk" in it đ. This teenage author is living a dream where he can afk and release more chapters.

It's not beacuse they are Chinese (and people here complain about racism...). There's no 'quality control' in any novel postin web sites, even Japanese (Syosetsu) or American (too many to list). If you want quality control just try to publish/read a novel at/from a real publisher (Handon House, Penguin, ...)
Arkaon:They are Chinese, what quality control ?
On the contrary, chinese authors have developed a stereotype. Any similarly written novels are labelled with that in mind. I read Chinese novels before any others, and they are indeed abysmal. I suspect some understanding is lost in translation, and the rest is culture. These novels were then used as reference points for many others, in turn setting a terrible standard, that in the eyes of many originated from China. Also I've already said this once but, China is not a race.

Than it begs the question, if you think Chinese webnovels are 'abismal' why are you here reading them?

You've never watched a bad movie? Read a terrible book? Played a boring game? People do what they do for multiple reasons. I say Chinese novels are bad because they generally are, however I actually do thoroughly enjoy some parts of what constitutes the common structure. What peeves me is often what lies in between. It's the unrelenting face slapping, that is often preceded by long bodies of text, the excessive pride and conceit, the prolific altruism. It's always carried about in such a grandiloquent fashion as well, they need to ceremoniously abjure evil or anything along those lines. For every sentence I would write, they would need 5 or 10. It's that sort of writing that creates the stereotype. They plain and simply suck.
