out of all the stories, why was this picked?! I understand that 'I cultivate passively' was picked because it had a good score and good translation, but this?! Trash!!!!! My martial arts can train themselves should have been picked!

No, reviews and score don't mean anything when it comes to deciding which novel will get selected. The important factor is how many people paid coins to unlock chapters. And you can see that amount if you go to the overview of a novel and lock at 'xxx fans are supporting this book' xxx represents the amount of people who used coins to unlock chapters. You basically know which novels will get picked even before they are picked. For example 'Future News: My Phone Mutated' will get picked almost certainly. And maybe imparting my cultivation to beasts get me 10... will also get picked. Amount of novels getting selected varies. Sometimes only 1 sometimes 4 so the only safe bet is 'future news...'
