Don't take this novel seriously. If you're looking for some action-packed masterpiece then this is not it. It's just a light-hearted, fun and all around calming read. It's not the worst, and compared to many novels picked up in the Trial read it's actually pretty good. A lot of people here don't understand that. Anyway, yeah, check it out if you want to turn off your mind and just settle in for a smooth reading experience. My opinion might change though, we only have 20 chapters here so far, after all.

What I meant was, you shouldn't try to nitpick everything. If you focus on the stuff that make you think 'this doesn't make sense' or 'the mc is an idiot' then you will definitely not enjoy reading this. You need to be able to move pass that. You need to give the story some benefit of the doubt.

I've been discussing this with a friend. About suspension of disbelief, I used Jurassic Park as an example. There is a false premise DNA being extracted from fossil mosquitoes generating live dinosaurs based on a book but the whole story is based on "Life finds a way". That's the problem with the cliché formula, we can accept a false premise but only if it's an imaginative shortcut, a trigger for deriving imagination. Use that trigger and then restrict our imagination to the cliché? It does not work.

Actually, great point there. Hard for me to refute, however, I'll try to do so anyway. What I see is that basically suspension of disbelief is a core principal in comedy (For comedy around here at least). Comedic novels here on webnovel seem to hinge on the 'ridiculous situation' cliché, its often found all around this website. And I think some disbelief is allowed for someone to enjoy those types of novels. It's practically needed. Now, the question is, 'Does this story qualify?'. I think so far, it does. It's obviously light-hearted from what I read so far, and the writer probably doesn't want the readers to take the story seriously. It's been mostly a jumble of reactions to the Mc's cultivating phenomena and the Mc thinking one of the old people around him is actually an invincible expert who is causing it. Obviously, if you try to take a novel like this with full seriousness you'll be left full of disappointment, Cliché or not.

Also there's a disproportionate amount of one star negative reviews here. I don't really think it deserves all this hate, it's not the worst webnovel I've seen here on trial reads.

I noticed three things about this star system. 1 There are accounts that add five stars and one star, something between is rare and nothing I've ever seen last long. 2 I didn't understand the rating before the book was released with five stars, today I believe they are fake accounts. (I even have a rule if the book is bad in the extreme I don't rate it, because the site also wins in hated works and I want to avoid that). 3 Stars are worthless, it's the comments that have power, a star with a text explaining why it's bad is more attractive than thousands of five stars with written XP.

Then write a synopsis that fits, and put on the Comedy and Spoof tags. With this synopsis and those tags, I expected a serious novel, not one where, as a retired safety auditor, I feel like I need to put PSA notices on every thing the character starts doing after chapter 20! Indeed, if you read this novel, take everything the MC does after realizing his foundation is a little unstable and that he should shore it up as what NOT to do if you get in that situation! Though, I can't help an Idiotic MC that becomes a subject matter teacher and doesn't spend his first morning shoring up his teaching skills and long jump form!
