In my opinion a very important thing I'm writing, especially to newer writers is consistency that way the writer can improve. It is also important to not write just to get it over with as that usually makes bad writing. Another thing is that if you plan to make your story longer or have more content but don't know what to write about in the future have a multiple short goals, few long goals and some loose ends in your writing to have a place it's easier to add on to instead of a unplanned large change to move the story forward.
