The mc hides his power and acts weal for NO REASON or if there’s a reason it’s a stupid one such as “I don’t want her to rely on my power.” I got over the power hiding tropes with all the sign-in trial book marathons they had, now I just find it stupid and taxing to read.

I am thoroughly disappointed with this story. I had high hopes going by the synopsis, but those hopes were mercilessly crushed when I started to read!

I naively had some hope after reading the synopsis. The start is too rushed, there is no explanation about any of the protagonist’s abilities and every character is less than 2D. I can feel the urge to bash this novel with a 2000 word review, but it’s really not worth wasting time on this. Save yourself the effort. Don’t read or support this garbage.

Fail, the author simply failed. I don't know if this was supposed to be funny, an underdog becoming strong type of novel or an attempt at writing a MC without agency. The characters aren't fleshed out and full of stereotypes, the MC is OP and boring at the same time and the world building is basically up to chance.

Alright so the biggest issue I had with the novel is simply how the MC keeps telaporting all over the place lol. Let me explain by giving you an example from the fifth chapter. This scene starts with the MC hiding in a tree. It’s stated later that he is looking ‘down’ at a group of werewolves who are eating something and there is a girl (not the one he’s contracted with) tied to a tree ‘beside them’. The next action the MC does is ‘turn’ his head to look at the girl ‘beside him’. At first I thought that maybe his contractor had snuck up beside him but I was wrong. The girl ‘beside him’ is the exact same girl that was tied to a tree beside the werewolves. I used this example because its simply the latest one I read. Throughout the entire story, I couldn’t picture how the scenes were playing out most of the time. I don’t have much experience in reading tml translated novels but those that I have read never gave me this issue. I could be wrong, if tml translated novels have these ‘character teleporting’ issues, I’d like to know so I can avoid them.
