The romance is very bad i dont even understand why author put romance tag in it, because there is no romance his first women was just because the original lucifer said like “he grayfia marry this guy”. later this guy fights god gets sealed. Seal breaks around start cannon. one of the first things he does is asking almost every women in the room to become “his” women. next day or someting all the women he asks agrees to become his women and this is how he gets al his women. meeting-asking the be his women-accept. Its pretty boring until now he doesnt really develop someting with everyone except grayfia pre-cannon.

Issei didn't get his girls just fall in love with him, he did work hard for it. He saved Rias from her marriage and helped other girls untie their heart knots and he was even willing to die for them and he did die once. If you put aside his character, which girl wouldn't fall for him, a knight in shining armour.

Totally see your point and I’ll admit I suck at it, but here’s a thought if Issei who’s not handsome, weak, and just a pervert who still does nothing with the girls can have them all fall in love with him, why can’t the MC. The MC is better than Issei in every single way, why does he need to try hard while issei did nothing but be a pervert.

Thats true but maybe you can have mc interact with them a bit more like dates or just a conversation in the morning about something

I'm pretty sure each Dxd girl had their own baggage worth of problems. Where Issie had to fix/resolve before stealing their heart. Example: Akeno, daddy issues, Koneko sister issues, Rias Riser Issues... ect. Only one who was easy was the stupid blue haired brute. Even Asia had a bunch of development from turning into a dependent individual to sticking up and becoming equal in her relationship with Issie after she was kidnapped. There's a reason why Dxd is still one of the best harem stories out there.

Did you even read DxD? Issei repeatedly sticks his neck out to save the girls and works super hard to become strong enough to protect them. He is there for them in their moment of need and even helps some of them to reconcile with their past demons. How does all that count for nothing?
