System revealed so dropped. Overall, this novel was good. Not amazing, since it’s a standard system fic but it’s well written with decent grammar and few typos. I won’t go into the many positives and negatives but I’ll say this, never reveal the system in a gamer fic. You will always lose a good percentage of the audience you built. The ones that wanted it revealed would have continued reading anyway, but the readers who do not want it will stop. The negatives always outweigh the positive, from hindering story progression/immersion, forcing character progression/interaction, I can go on and on. Awful decision.

LIKEI respect your decision to drop this fanfic and thank you for giving it a chance. I hope you find a better series to read. In the author note, I put this decision to everyone, with 61% wanting the reveal. I know the 39% who didn't want it were concerned about how awful this trope is often used by other authors. Personally speaking, I have an interesting storyline to tell using this reveal, and even in Chapter 72, I gave many reasons for what I dislike about the trope and what I am going to avoid. I'll give you some examples addressing your "negatives": **Hindering Story Progression**: Hmm, let's see: Naruto was already going to the dungeon, and now he has a team. How is the story's progress hindered? It literally took one chapter to get Tenten and Hinata up to speed. Plus, if you bothered to read Chapter 72, Naruto, Tenten, and Hinata work as a cohesive team as they complement each other's fighting styles and help each other. **Forcing Character Progression**: My dear reader, do you know what plot is? Plot forces character progression. If Naruto revealing the system progresses Tenten and Hinata further and adds to their story and the overall plot of the fanfic, what's wrong with that? **Forcing Character Interaction**: I think this point is just you regurgitating points against the trope, not this novel, because Naruto, Tenten, and Hinata have been close friends for dozens upon dozens of chapters, with Tenten and Hinata helping Naruto grow via chakra control, via his weapons, and via being his training partners. **Awful Decision**: Don't worry, I'll live with that because I am not going to work around my own story just because other authors can't write a trope well. Look, I have a lot of story beats and plotlines that I want to write that stem from this decision. But then again, as you said, this isn't some amazing novel, just a standard system fic. To anyone reading this reply, it's your choice to drop it or not. If you trust my abilities as an author to give you a good read, stick around. If not, then I wish you pick up an amazing novel that you'll enjoy better than this standard system fic.
You can interpret what I said how you wish. Good luck with your story, just because I’m not a fan of the trope doesn’t mean you can’t make it work. I just highly doubt it. I can go on and make this into a long argument breaking down every thing that *I* felt forced or awkward with their social interactions up to that point and past, but why would I want to demotivate you just because the story fell into a trope I did not like? You’re clearly hard working hence why I didn’t slam your story and gave it a not so critical review (even said it was good which was me purposefully being polite) and focused on the reason why I dropped, and why I just warned you why there will be people dropping - I know you were aware there would be but I don’t think you considered the fact that when people want something and don’t get it they can continue to enjoy it eagerly waiting for it to one day happen (and it may never but they will still read wondering when) however if they do not want something added and receive it they will react much more harshly. And with a poll that close it’s an even worse decision. Next time you poll, if it’s not atleast 80% maybe even 90%+ ”yes” vote, don’t go through with it, much safer decision. Hence why I still stand by my statement of it being an awful decision. Understand that my review only wards away people that would’ve dropped specifically for this one reason. If you want a comprehensive critical review and breakdown let me know. You put out a lot of chapters which impressed me with your work ethic, so what if a few people drop? Take it on your chin and move forward, your story in the end of the day. Not everything is an attack. Once again good luck, and keep writing.
P.S. if you read the original review I pointedly avoided talking about the positives/ negatives of your novel specifically. I was a little confused why you had a breakdown over my very short dumbed down list of the negatives of the trope specifically- why I prefaced it with “it’s never worth going down the trope”. Made me super confused when you correctly noticed that I was writing about the negatives of the trope and not the story but didn’t fully click. And also, you’re going to try avoid the negatives but they will come. Easier to have a party dungeon raid chapter than to have writers block. Easy but watered down mindless writing. Why it’s a bad rabbit hole. But you’re only human. It’d be impressive and most likely impossible to avoid all the cringeworthy hurdles that come with introducing the system to friends trope. Anyway that’s all. Good luck again. Prove me wrong.
