Typical bullied by everyone story what makes this one even worse is despite having high potential the Mc classmates still pick on him which logically makes no sense. but that’s what happens when an author isn’t experienced enough to write a story where characters aren’t copy paste stereotypes seen in other stories even our protagonist is a carbon copy of every other Mc on a cultivation or city novel. Another distasteful aspect of this story is women gravitate towards him for no reason there’s no chemistry or inherent thing that peeks their attention they just like this guy. TLDR:Generic in everything from background to characters not recommended.

Saying that your MC/story is not based on anything else is simply untrue. Whether it was conscious or not does not matter, this novel still follows the same generic path that most other novels of this genre do and there was 100% a reason for that. You dont just "accidentally" write a copy paste of tons of other generic novels. And I really find your reply distasteful to be honest you try to act like it's not your problem if a reader finds the novel generic when it completely should be. I suggest you learn to take criticism better instead of deflecting every negative aspect pointed out about your story. Have a good day.

Wow~ At least this was an honest review. I appreciate it. But first, let me clarify certain things since you said that it was a generic story/character, even mentioning stereotypes. The MC's character and story are still in progress and would develop in the future, but one thing that you failed to realize is that this story was devised without using any other MCs out there as a reference. Even if you don't believe me, I only started reading novels last year and haven't really read that much, only glance through some and REALLY read three books that I liked and that was what got me interested in writing in the first place. We are all humans and sometimes we think of the same things without knowing that other people had already thought of it, this is why copyright and patent exist in case of duplication. And I find that to be true every day as people keep saying that my story resembles some novel on here even though I haven't even read a single chapter of that novel. So I am sorry if you might've already read something similar elsewhere or on here. Perhaps, I should leave a disclaimer that said this was pure fiction and not based on other stories entirely since I am only using the terms of other stories for easier understanding of my story. As for the women gravitating towards him thing... I don't know how you came to that conclusion as so far there was only one girl that he liked and although I haven't dwelt much into their history yet, she was the only one who 'gravitated' towards him at the moment. Don't tell me you counted his mother or sister or the receptionist that was curious about him, which was due to his background of being incompetent before the change, you are not talking about those kinds of women, right? Please give me more clarification for other readers, otherwise, it is nothing but discouragement. TL;DR: If you do not like the plot or character settings of my novel, then I cannot recommend or force you to read my work, as I, the author cannot fully guarantee that everyone would be satisfied with my work in the first place; everybody has different taste as do I. As such, you can drop this novel if you're dissatisfied with it since there might be other novels that may suit your needs instead. Thank you for your time.

You should check to who you are replying to before you reply to things in the future. I'll say it again. This novel was devised based on my imagination, especially the character. As for the novel itself or should I say, the terms or things like cultivation, magic, and stuff were clearly based on the eastern and western concepts that I have seen in a certain story. And did you read my reply clearly? Because if you did, you would've seen the '...Pure fiction and not based on other stories entirely' part. That clearly just stated that I used other stories as a reference to build the world in my story but not entirely, because I didn't just copy and paste or use any novel in particular. And also, If I truly deflected his criticism, I would've deleted this review instead, because I can do that. The reason why I didn't was that I thought it was necessary for people to see his/her review-albeit incomplete one since he didn't read the whole book or enough to leave that review. Whether or not you find my novel generic does not matter to me because that only just means that you have read enough books or too many novels to suggest that. After all, reading too many novels of similar genres or plots would only cloud your judgment when reading something slightly similar to the others that you have read. In other words, if you find it generic, then simply drop it before you waste your time on it. I will not take offense to that. Have a nice day or evening.
