If you want to read a good apocalyptic novel, there are far better options. This book has several major issues and plotholes. 1. Plot: World building is minimal. The space is a catch all and isn't well described. The zombification isn't given enough detail. Does a zombie scratch make you a zombie? How do you kill a zombie? Are they slow/fast/blind or can they smell you? Zilch.Zip. Nada. Nothing at all. 2. Characters : All characters seem very one dimensional. FL: Ditzy at worst, naive at best. I am surprised that she doesn't try to check in with her parents and husband daily in an apocalypse. I feel like throttling her. If you lived away from parents/SO in the early days of the lockdown, you can probably relate. I assume that a zombie apocalypse woud be a thousand times worse. ML: ML sets out to rescue his wife, and ends up picking up her parents, and even random strangers before getting to her house. Even if they aren't close, this is pretty weird. 😒😒 Alternate suggestions if you like this genre: Coming of the apocalypse queen: on your knees young emperor Rebirth of the apocalypse queen

She could not check up with her parents because there is no phone,power, network I can agree about the husband picking up people but it maybe because his work place is closer to their place overall it is actually nice and them being apart makes it more interesting cause if she gets together with the ML immediately it will definitely be boring.

Agree that it might be boring If they met each other early but that does not change stuff. Right until FL lost her phone, she was able to go online and see posts and such. And when the reason for plotline is just "because this would be boring " and no other reason, its just bad writing. If the parents were picked up first because they are on the way, then why isn't it told. Adding enough motivation and background to worry would make this clearer.

I'm dropping this. There are major plotholes and some things aren't described properly. I would've liked to know about their marriage. Like how they got together and basically the background of her life. Some people might like this novel. That's totally based on one's preference. Talking about me, I'm absolutely not used to this kind of a powerless, naive and dumb at times fl so it in times frustrated me. The ml isisn't any better. He's going around saving everyone except his wife. He also seems to be very naive. Both the fl and the ml aren't of my liking. I like reading novels with a powerful+smart fl and a 'cold-to-others-but-warm-to-fl' kind of an ml. So this novel is definitely not my pick.

it's not bad or good either just so so. the fl makes stupid decision sometimes like changing her name when she could've use her real name to make it easier for her husband to find her. she's naive but still acceptable bcos it's her first time dealing with the apocalypse world. the ml i don't know what to say.... it's good that he's a kind man but sometimes his kindness makes things worse. yeahh i know nobody's perfect but the characters in this book are kinda frustrating me. huhhh but i don't know why but i still want to read more. it's a bit bland but still tempting me in like when u r not really hungry but still u want to eat bcos it looks tasty.

I like reading the apocalypse-themed novels but this missed the mark for me.😤🥺 This work has a very simple plot. There’s not a lot of twists and turns. There were some characters mentioned in the early chapters that were not given resolution. So it would leave you with a feeling of dissatisfaction. The ending, too, was hurried. It was left for the readers to supplement the ending. Reading how the FL and ML behaves could really be aggravating. Both of them are simple to the point of being idiots. Grammatical errors are present but not a lot and are the typical ones found in any translations. Overall, this is fairly an okay book to read if there’s nothing better. So read at your own risk.😇
